Both before and after AEW’s live airing of Collision last night inside the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City, tapings were held for ROH’s upcoming Boxing Day Brawl episode next Thursday on December 26. During the show, a big surprise return took place. Spoilers for ROH Boxing Day Brawl follow, courtesy of PWInsider

Rocky Romero was set to take on the pairing of QT Marshall and Aaron Solo, though he had a mystery partner in store for the heels. None other than former ROH World Champion and ROH World Tag Team Champion Homicide made his return to the promotion, teaming up with Romero to defeat the team of Marshall & Solo.

This marks Homicide’s first ROH match since all the way back in 2021 when he competed in a 12-man Christmas Wildcard tag team match in a bout involving the likes of Bandidos, The Briscoes, Matt Taven, Silas Young, and more. Homicide has shown up in AEW before, appearing at the 2021 AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam show, coming to the aid of Eddie Kingston and Jon Moxley. This surprise follows up more shocks that took place at ROH Final Battle 2024, as the PPV featured surprise appearances from Bandido, Nigel McGuinness and Danhausen.
