SPOILER: Title To Change Hands On Christmas Eve Episode Of WWE NXT

A title change will take place on next week's Christmas Eve edition of WWE NXT.

Along with a live edition of the show, WWE taped the December 24 episode of NXT from Lowell, Massachusetts and the taping featured a new champion being crowned.

Lexis King challenged Charlie Dempsey for the NXT Heritage Cup Title during the show and the former Brian Pillman Jr. won the cup after William Regal punched his own son with a pair of brass knuckles.

Lexis King and Charlie Dempsey have been in a programme for the past couple of months, with Dempsey previously successfully defending the title against King on October 29. Regal was in King's corner for that match.

A rematch between King and Charlie Dempsey was made official on last week's episode of NXT, with the match coming together after King managed to survive a workout with Charlie Dempsey.

The NXT Heritage Cup is the first championship that Lexis King has won in WWE. Charlie Dempsey is a two-time NXT Heritage Cup Champion. His second reign kicked off on August 13 when he defeated Tony D'Angelo.
