TNA Wrestling have unveiled a new championship, with a new title announced at the recent IMPACT tapings in St. Joseph, Missouri.
Director of Authority Santino Marella put his authority into action, stripping Steph De Lander of the TNA Digital Championship before announcing that a new TNA International Championship would soon be added to the mix, presumably taking the Digital Media Championship’s place.
Marella decreed that a tournament would take place to crown the inaugural champion, with all matches three-ways. Marella also stated that the tournament finals are set to take place at TNA Unbreakable in Las Vegas on April 17.
De Lander had been in possession of the Digital Media Championship since January 2025, after receiving the title in a ‘divorce settlement’ from PCO. In reality, PCO’s TNA contract had expired, and the ‘Perfect Creation’ decided to show his frustration by smashing the title belt with a sledgehammer in an unscripted angle on GCW’s The People vs. GCW PPV at New York’s Hammerstein Ballroom in January.
The Digital Media Championship was debuted in late 2021, with Jordynne Grace reigning as the inaugural champion. Joe Hendry stands as the all-time longest reigning champion, with over 266 days registered with the title.
