Stephanie McMahon Proclaims Success Of WWE-Pizza Hut Partnership Following 'We Want Pizza' Chant

2021 was another unique year of collaborations for WWE and partnerships resulted in a Zombie Lumberjack Match at WrestleMania Backlash before another Netflix tie-in later in the year led to Austin Theory stealing one of Cleopatra's Eggs at Survivor Series to promote Red Notice.

That wasn't the only collaboration at Survivor Series, though, and WWE partnered with Pizza Hut for The Rock's 25th Anniversary Battle Royal. As a result, wrestlers fought for pizza and a 'We want pizza' chant broke out amongst the fans in attendance at the Barclays Center.

WWE were seemingly happy with the collaboration's success and Stephanie McMahon pointed to it as an example of the company's strong reach on the Q4 2021 investors' call.

"On our last call, I spoke about WWE's unique ability to break through the clutter for brands and partners and amplify that messaging through our strong reach across platforms. In Q4, at Survivor Series, this creativity was on full display for two brands," Stephanie began.

"Pizza Hut trended during the night as The Street Profits made their entrance to the ring carrying a box of piping hot Pizza Hut pizza and a checkered table cloth saying we got sponsored. During the match, the audience actually started to chant 'We want pizza,' which is not something we can ever guarantee a partner, but a demonstration of how successful integrations can be when they are done with a fan mindset."

If WWE will collaborate with Domino's or Little Caesars for another Pizza promotion remains to be seen. Either way, R-Truth will be happy.
