Stipulation Set For KOPW 2021 Match At NJPW Wrestle Grand Slam In MetLife Dome

Another Strap Match between Yano and Owens

The stipulation for the KOPW 2021 match on night one of Wrestle Grand Slam in MetLife Dome has been set.

Chase Owens will defend the trophy against former champion Toru Yano on September 4 and the Bullet Club member announced today they will face off in a Texas Strap Match.

Owens revealed the stipulation after he, Taiji Ishimori and El Phantasmo defeated Yano, Robbie Eagles and Tiger Mask at today's Summer Struggle show. Following the win, Owens Low Blowed Yano and proceeded to whip him with a strap before making the announcement.

This will be the second time Owens and Yano have squared off in a Strap Match this year. They previously clashed in a YTR-style Strap Match at Castle Attack on February 27.

Beyond Toru Yano vs. Chase Owens, Jeff Cobb will take on Kazuchika Okada on night one of Wrestle Grand Slam in MetLife Dome. Night two will be headlined by an IWGP World Heavyweight Championship Match between champion Shingo Takagi and EVIL.
