Tetsuya Naito Wins NJPW G1 Climax 33

Tetsuya Naito is the winner of the G1 Climax! After a gruelling tournament and an even more hard-fought match in the finals, Naito overcame Kazuchika Okada to win the match and earn a spot in the main event of Wrestle Kingdom 18 against whoever the IWGP World Champion will be. 

This marks the third time that Naito has won the G1 Climax, previously winning in 2013 and 2017. In this year’s tournament, Naito faced off with names like Zack Sabre Jr, Hiroshi Tanahashi, Hikuleo, and then Will Ospreay in a phenomenal semi-final match. 

The results from the finals night of the G1 Climax are as follows;
