The Demon's Return Teased On WWE Raw

Finn Balor looks set to bring the Demon out of hiding at WrestleMania 39

The Demon version of Finn Balor looks set to return at WrestleMania 39 to take on Edge under his Brood alter-ego.

Balor is set to face Edge in a Hell in a Cell Match at the Showcase of the Immortals and The Rated-R Superstar appeared as a floating head surrounded by candles this week on Raw. After discussing his history in Hell in a Cell and making biblical references, Edge told Balor to "bring your demon to meet the devil, he'd like to meet him."

The return of the Demon was initially teased last week after Edge and Balor made their WrestleMania match official. Balor has not competed under his alter-ego since a loss to Roman Reigns in a Universal Title match at Extreme Rules 2021.

According to reports, the Demon was originally scheduled to return and face a Brood version of Edge inside Hell in a Cell at the Royal Rumble but the match was postponed as Edge was busy with filming for the upcoming Percy Jackson series on Disney+. It was noted following the pay-per-view that the Demon's return was still being discussed, just for WrestleMania.

Edge and Finn Balor have been feuding for the past several months since Balor joined Judgment Day and worked with Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley to kick the 11-time world champion out of the faction he created. Balor holds a singles victory over Edge, having defeated him in an "I Quit" Match at Extreme Rules 2022.
