The Rock Says The WWE WrestleMania 40 Press Conference Will Be Talked About Forever

The Rock is confident WWE WrestleMania 40 press conference will be a milestone event

WWE have arrived in Las Vegas ahead of a WrestleMania XL press conference later today, with the likes of Triple H, Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, and The Rock slated to appear.

The event is sure to draw eyes due to the controversial decision to seemingly pivot away from Rhodes vs. Reigns towards Rock vs. Reigns, with The Rock telling WWE cameras that the conference will be ‘talked about forever’:

“Welcome to Vegas! I have the feeling this press conference will be talked about forever,” said The Rock, calling himself ‘your long gamer’ in a video released to WWE’s social media channels.

Whilst many expect WWE to use the press conference to formally announce the main event of WrestleMania 40, and use it as a chance for some positive PR after news of the Vince McMahon lawsuit broke, it is also said to be a chance for some widespread media coverage, with the press conference taking place the same week as the upcoming NFL Super Bowl LVIII in neighbouring Paradise, Nevada.

Fan revolt to the assumed Rock Reigns match has seen Cody Rhodes become an arguably even bigger star than before, and it remains to be seen if WWE take note and re-insert ‘The American Nightmare’ into the main event.
