The Undertaker is renowned for his more hard-nosed view on the backstage atmosphere in WWE, having a certain distaste for the amicable video game culture, and being more a supporter of the whole “Wrestler’s Court” era of WWE. The landscape of the company is much different today than it was in The Undertaker’s time, especially without Vince McMahon at the helm and with Triple H stepping into those shoes.

As a guest on Booker T’s Hall Of Fame podcast, Undertaker discussed the modern day environment in WWE, and revealed that he finds it too calm.

“It’s crazy to me how calm everything is backstage now. You know, Paul’s demeanour is so chill. Every time I see him, he’s got time to sit down and explain something to you. It’s just not that Helter Skelter fire drill anymore - which I thrived in. You had to be able to do that. I just remember working on a promo all day long, and then 10 minutes before you go out, it’s completely changed. You had to come up with something and you gotta go do it. You gotta do it live. It’s so calm, it’s almost too calm for me.”

Undertaker admitted that Triple H’s approach is certainly better for the talent. Recently, Bret Hart commented on how nice it was to run into Triple H, seemingly having similar sort of experiences to The Undertaker.
