Title Changes Occur At Impact Wrestling Tapings (SPOILERS)

Read on if you want to know

A pair of title changes occurred on Saturday night at the Impact Wrestling tapings in Albany, NY, one day following Bound For Glory in the same city.

According to spoilers provided by PWInsider, both changes will air as part of the October 20 broadcast of Impact.

One title change did not occur in a match, as new X Division champion Frankie Kazarian exercised "Option C", vacating the title in exchange for a World title match with Josh Alexander. That match is scheduled to take place at Impact Overdrive on November 18 in Louisville.

As for the vacated X Division title, an eight-man tournament will be held to crown a new champion.

Kazarian had just won the X Division title on October 7 at Bound For Glory, by defeating Mike Bailey.

Also at the tapings, new Tag Team champions were crowned, as Rhino and Heath defeated The OGK (Mike Bennett and Matt Taven) to win the titles.

Bennett and Taven had reigned as champions since August 26, when they won the titles from Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson at a TV taping in Dallas.

The win gives Heath his first championship in Impact. Rhino previously held the Tag Team titles as part of Violent By Design, and briefly held the NWA World title in 2005.
