Title Vs. Title Match Set For WWE WrestleMania 38

Both titles on the line

Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns will face off at The Show Of Shows for the third time later this year at WrestleMania 38 but unlike their past encounters, their third clash will be for both the Universal and WWE Titles.

The announcement was made following Lesnar's WWE Title win in the main event of Elimination Chamber, with The Beast winning the namesake match after eliminating Seth Rollins, AJ Styles, Riddle and Austin Theory. Then-WWE Champion Bobby Lashley was removed from the match in the opening minutes due to concussion protocol after Rollins Powerbombed Austin Theory through The All Mighty's pod.

Roman Reigns also successfully retained the Universal Championship earlier in the evening, defeating Goldberg.

Lesnar vs. Reigns had already been booked for WrestleMania 38, courtesy of The Beast's Royal Rumble win on January 29 but the match was originally only going to be for the Universal Title.

Reports have noted WWE weren't originally planning to do a Title vs. Title Match at The Showcase Of The Immortals but Vince McMahon began leaning towards making the match for both belts in recent weeks, with Brock Lesnar said to have been pushing for the change backstage.
