Live IMPACT leaves TNA management ‘very happy’
Jan 24, 2025
TNA Wrestling returned to live television for the first time in eight years on January 23, with the company airing IMPACT live from San Antonio, Texas.
The episode featured crossover with official partner NXT, the return of Steph De Lander and debut of Mance Warner, whilst Mustafa Ali made his return to the promotion after signing a new deal. A report from PWInsider states that TNA management were very happy with the show, feeling the broadcast came off without any major issues.
As of now, the hope is that TNA can run at least one live IMPACT every month, but nothing is set in stone.
It seems then that year two of the new TNA has began strongly, with the announcement of the aforementioned partnership with WWE, the crowning of Joe Hendry as TNA World Champion at Genesis, and now the successful live broadcast of IMPACT. TNA are anticipated to be involved with the upcoming WWE Royal Rumble, with multiple names mooted to be appearing in the Rumble matches themselves.
TNA’s next pay-per-view event will be Rebellion on April 27. Ahead of Rebellion, TNA will be running TNA Plus special Sacrifice on March 14 in El Paso, Texas.
