TNA presented one of the biggest shows in promotion history on Sunday, July 20 as Slammiversary 2025 emanated from UBS Arena in Long Island, New York.

In addition to several title matches, Slammiversary featured the return of AJ Styles to TNA Wrestling. TNA also failed miserably against talent from outside of the promotion at Slammiversary, even losing to the former Enzo Amore, and the show ended with WWE talents holding the TNA World Championship and TNA Knockouts World Title.

RESULTS BEGIN

The Elegance Brand (Ash By Elegance & Heather By Elegance) (c) def. The IInspiration (Jessica McKay & Cassie Lee) - TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Championships - Countdown to Slammiversary

Following a pre-show panel which bizarrely featured Skid Row's Dave Sabo, the first match of the evening saw The IInspiration challenge The Elegance Brand for the TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Championships.

The champions soon took control after Ash By Elegance caught Jessica McKay with a forearm behind the referee's back, with M By Elegance on the outside soon getting involved while the referee was distracted for a second time.

McKay eventually made the hot tag to Cassie Lee and she ran wild on The Elegance Brand, scoring a near fall following a Fisherman's Suplex to Heather By Elegance. Cassie Lee then had the match won following a Superplex to the former Dana Brooke, but M By Elegance placed Ash's foot on the bottom rope. What followed was two dives from The IInspiration to take out The Elegance Brand.

The challengers then set up for the Idoliser finisher, but Heather speared Jessica McKay. Cassie Lee was then decked with a Statue of Liberty prop by M By Elegance, and Rarefied Air from Ash By Elegance to Lee was enough to score the win for the champions.

The Home Town Man def. Eric Young - Countdown to Slammiversary

As the pre-show moved along, Eric Young and The Northern Armory interrupted the broadcast and Eric Young cut a promo about conspiracies as the fans chanted "USA." After challenging a Long Islander to face him, Young was interrupted by The Home Town Man (AKA Cody Deaner in a mask).

Home Town Man was briefly on top until interference from Travis Williams and Judas Icarus allowed Young to take control. Cody Deaner regained control with 10 punches in the corner, but Young fought back with a thumb to the eye and scored a near fall following a Flying Elbow. The kickout prompted EY to threaten the referee and try to fight fans at ringside, but this only allowed Home Town Man to counter a Piledriver into a pin for the win out of nowhere.

The Home Town Man won in his hometown and he celebrated with the hometown fans inside the UBS Arena, earning cheap pops by kissing a New York Islanders jersey.

Zilla Fatu, Real 1 & Josh Bishop def. Steve Maclin, Jake Something & Mance Warner - Countdown to Slammiversary

TNA vs. Westside Gunn's 4th Rope in the final match on the pre-show saw Real 1 (FKA Enzo Amore) perform his schtick from 10 years ago to put over his tag team partners, and it got a reasonable pop from the fans inside UBS Arena.

Zilla Fatu missed on an Umaga-esque splash in the opening moments before Steve Maclin was on top against Real 1 and Josh Bishop. Maclin then took down Fatu with an Olympic Slam and later hit Bishop and Real 1 with a Suicide Dive, only to be floored by a Samoan Spike from Fatu.

Jake Something connected with a Suicide Dive to 4th Rope but Real 1 scored the win out of nowhere with the Eat Defeat to Something after Mance Warner distracted his own partner by mistake.

Mustafa Ali def. Cedric Alexander

Cedric Alexander and Mustafa Ali faced off in singles action for the first time since their WrestleMania 34 pre-show match over the WWE Cruiserweight Championship.

There was early applause after both men went blow for blow with some quick in-ring action in the opening minutes, but that came to a screeching halt following a German Suplex on the floor from Cedric. Alexander then hit a second one, which led to him being berated by Order 4.

This allowed Mustafa Ali to attempt a Suicide Dive but Cedric Alexander moved out of the way and Order 4 - who were clearly there to catch Ali - were nowhere to be found as the former TNA X-Division Champion crashed and burned, diving headfirst onto the ramp.

Fortunately, Ali was alright and Alexander drove his opponent's head into the middle turnbuckle before following up with a Michinoku Driver from the top rope, taking out Ali's secret service and the Great Hands on the outside.

Cedric Alexander methodically worked over his opponent before Ali avoided a Lumbar Check and locked in a Sharpshooter. Alexander managed to escape and the action spilt to the outside, with Mustafa Ali being absolutely flattened when he landed on the steel steps following a Back Body Drop from Alexander.

Ali managed to fight back with the assistance of interference from Jason Hotch and Ali connected with a 450 Splash, only for Alexander to kick out. Tasha Steelz and Order 4 were furious with the referee and Steelz bumping the referee led to her ejection.

As the action continued, Alexander countered a Rolling Neckbreaker into a Cutter. Alexander then took out John Skyler and hit the Lumbar Check to Ali. The fans inside UBS Arena thought that was it, but Ali kicked out at the very last moment.

The action went to the top but Tasha Steelz, who had only been ejected moments earlier, ran to the ring with a steel chair. Alexander stopped Steelz from using the chair and hit the former Knockouts World Champion with a Lumbar Check. Steelz went flying but Ali took advantage with another 450 Splash for the 1-2-3.

The System (Eddie Edwards, JDC & Brian Myers) & Matt Cardona def. Darkstate (Shaquon Shugars, Osiris Griffin, Dion Lennox & Cutler James)

A brawl broke out before the bell rang, with JDC paying tribute to Sabu with a chair-assisted dive over the top to the outside to take out Darkstate. The bell eventually rang, though, after Saquon Shugars bounced Brian Myers' head off the ring post and threw the former Curt Hawkins into the ring.

Darkstate then slowly worked over Myers for multiple minutes before he made the hot tag to Matt Cardona as the hometown boy ran wild, taking out all of Darkstate. Shugars avoided Radio Silence, though, and Darkstate used quick tags to connect with a Triple Powerbomb, with Eddie Edwards breaking the pin by just landing on the referee.

The System responded with a Triple Powerbomb of their own to Shugars but Darkstate broke up the pin. After everyone brawled, Cardona hit Radio Silence to Saquon Shugars before Eddie Edwards followed up with a Boston Knee Party for the win.

Indi Hartwell def. Tessa Blanchard

"She's a racist" chants in the early going for Tessa Blanchard as soon as the former TNA World Champion took control, working over Indi Hartwell's leg for several minutes.

Hartwell eventually fought back and connected with a Superplex before a Flying Elbow to the spine of Blanchard for a near fall. More "She's a racist" chants in Long Island followed after Blanchard connected with a Corkscrew Plancha.

Hartwell scored another near fall following a Spinebuster as Victoria Crawford at ringside desperately tried and failed to get the fans behind Blanchard. Blanchard connected with a Sit-Out Powerbomb for a near fall of her own, but Hartwell fired back with Hurts Don't It? and she thought that was it, only for Tessa to kick out.

Blanchard fought back with an Avalanche Cutter and her Magnum Codebreaker but Hartwell managed to get her shoulder up at two as the fans inside UBS Arena rallied behind Indi. After some taunting from Tessa, Hartwell connected with Hurts Don't It? on the ropes before a third Hurts Don't It? on the mat for the win.

Gia Miller interviewed Indi Hartwell post-match but Blanchard and Victoria Crawford first attacked Hartwell and then Miller, with Miller's head being pressed against the steel steps before security removed Blanchard and Crawford.

TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella confronted Blanchard backstage about her actions and Tessa pushed Santino, which led to Marella ordering security to remove her from the building. Blanchard was then carried out of the building.

There was then a backstage segment between The Elegance Brand and The IInspiration but I can't recall what happened due to being distracted by the production botch to kick off the segment.

Jacy Jayne (c) def. Masha Slamovich (c) - TNA Knockouts World Championship vs. WWE NXT Women's Championship

Title vs. Title was next at Slammiversary and Fatal Influence repeatedly interfered in the early going as referees continued to be blind at the pay-per-view which allowed Jacy Jayne to dominate the in-ring action against Masha Slamovich, during which Jayne talked smack to Johnny Rodz who was sat at ringside. Jayne then thought she had the match won following a Uranage but the TNA Knockouts World Champion kicked out at two.

Some chants in support of Jacy Jayne...at the TNA show followed as Masha Slamovich fought back into the matchup and scored a near fall following a Big Boot. Slamovich followed up with an Air Raid Crash into the turnbuckle but Jayne kicked out again.

Jayne hit a Frankensteiner soon after and fired back with a Running Knee, only for Slamovich to kick out. Shenanigans followed, which allowed Jacy Jayne to deck Slamovich with the Knockouts World Title while Fallon Henley distracted the official, but Masha managed to get her shoulder up at two.

Slamovich fought back with a Busaiku Knee and Fatal Influence were finally removed from the match by Xia Brookside and Lei Ying Lee. Jayne then accidentally hit the referee with a Superkick and Slamovich followed up with the Snow Plough. Another referee arrived, but the time it took them to reach the ring allowed Jacy Jayne to kick out.

Slamovich went for Requiem, but Jayne rolled through as Slamovich kicked out. More pin exchanges caused Slamovich's head to bounce off the middle turnbuckle. One Rolling Encore from Jacy Jayne later and she was the new TNA Knockouts World Champion.

Leon Slater def. Moose (c) - TNA X-Division Championship

Moose dominated the opening minutes of the X-Division Title match as he worked over Leon Slater, but the 'Youngest in Charge' managed to fire back with an Apron Hurricanrana, which sent Moose flying to the floor.

Slater went for a Tope Con Hilo but Moose caught him and carried Slater up the ramp, only to take another Hurricanrana from Slater. Leon followed up with a Tope Con Hilo over the turnbuckle, flattening the X-Division Champion. Slater ran into a Pop-Up Powerbomb soon after but the challenger managed to kick out.

Moose followed up with a Discus Clothesline but he was taken down soon after with a monster Lariat from Slater. Moose connected with Light's Out soon after but Slater kicked out and dodged a second one, following up with a Blue Thunder Bomb. A Spear and Swanton 450 followed and everyone in the arena thought that was it, only for Moose to get his shoulder up at two.

Moose tried desperately to stop Slater's offence but an angry Youngest in Charge looked set to win, only to springboard straight into a Light's Out from Moose. The champion went for another Light's Out on the outside but Slater countered into a Code Red and set up for a second Swanton 450. Moose rolled away but Slater hit a Swanton Bomb, paying tribute to Jeff Hardy, before a second Swanton 450 for the win.

After the match, Moose placed the belt around Leon Slater's waist, putting over the 20-year-old.

AJ Styles Returns To TNA

As Leon Slater continued to celebrate, 'Get Ready to Fly' suddenly filled the arena and AJ Styles returned to TNA Wrestling. A clearly emotional Styles talked about how it looked like he would never be back at one point before he said the lights were now brighter in TNA than they ever have been.

Styles put over the current generation of TNA, heaping praise upon Leon Slater by noting that the talent in TNA has never been better. Styles then mentioned his time in TNA with the likes of Christopher Daniels before raising Leon Slater's hands to all four sides of the arena.

Styles then put over Leon Slater one more time, while noting he would get back to having one more match in the promotion another time. Slate exited the ring to allow Styles to celebrate with the fans inside UBS Arena to end the segment.

The Hardys (Matt Hardy & Jeff Hardy) def. The Nemeths (Nic Nemeth & Ryan Nemeth) (c), The Rascalz (Myron Reed & Zachary Wentz) & First Class (AJ Francis & KC Navarro) - Four Way Ladder Match for the TNA World Tag Team Championships

It took no time for carnage to ensue in the semi-main event of TNA Slammiversary as every team took turns using ladders as weapons. First Class were the last team standing and AJ Francis tried to carry KC Navarro to the titles on his shoulders, only to eat a Dropkick from Zachary Wentz. Myron Reed then hit a huge Cutter to Ryan Nemeth from the apron to the floor.

AJ Francis tipped Zachary Wentz off a ladder, which only caused Wentz to hit a Frog Splash to Francis' own partner, who was draped across a ladder on the outside, splitting the ladder in the process. The Hardys then hit the greatest hits with a Twist of Fate and Swanton Bomb to AJ Francis.

Nic Nemeth hit Danger Zones to The Hardys and the champions' fingertips touched the belts, but they were pulled down from the ladders by The Rascalz. The carnage continued as AJ Francis first hit a Moonsault from the ladder and just as First Class were going to win, Francis and KC Navarro were sent crashing onto two ladders on the floor, with Francis landing nether regions first.

The Hardys took out The Nemeths back in the ring. Jeff then hit The Rascalz with multiple Swanton Bombs as they were lying across ladders draped between the ring and the apron, with the ladders being stubborn about breaking.

With all of the ladders pretty much broken, Jeff Hardy used a contraption to bring down a ladder rope from the rafters. Jeff began to climb, but he was dragged down by The Nemeths. The Hardys and The Nemeths grappled on the ladder rope and Matt and Jeff eventually stood tall, hitting Twist of Fates while chairs were across The Nemeths' necks. Jeff then climbed the ladder rope as The Hardys became TNA World Tag Team Champions once again.

The Hardys didn't have long to celebrate as they were interrupted by Bully Ray. Following a promo about who the most successful tag team of all time was, Bully Ray challenged The Hardys to have the "last great tag team match" at Bound For Glory against Team 3D. The Hardys accepted the challenge and it was announced that the show would be on October 12 in Lowell, Massachusetts.

Before the main event, TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella announced Tessa Blanchard was suspended indefinitely. Frankie Kazarian also made his way to the ring to sit on commentary for the TNA World Title match.

Trick Williams (c) def. Mike Santana & Joe Hendry - Three Way for the TNA World Championship

Mike Santana and Joe Hendry worked together to kick off the main event to remove Trick Williams from the equation and the match almost ended quickly but Hendry narrowly avoided Spin The Block. Williams then re-entered the action and he hit a Uranage to Hendry for a near fall.

Trick Williams dominated the next several minutes, spending time working over both Hendry and Santana. The action eventually became even again following a Street Sweeper from Santana and Hendry to Williams.

Santana attempted Spin The Block but walked straight into a Trick Kick. Williams then countered Standing Ovation, but Hendry hit it at the second attempt and had the match won, only for Frankie Kazarian to pull the referee out of the ring. This led to Kazarian being ejected from the commentary desk.

Hendry looked to work over Williams but Trick didn't get up on the outside and received medical assistance. Santana took advantage, hitting a Block 450 to Hendry for a near fall. Hendry then hit a Pop-Up Powerbomb, Attitude Adjustment, and Standing Ovation, but Santana kicked out as the fans rallied behind him.

Santana connected with the Standing Ovation moments later and had the match won, only for Trick Williams to escape his medical assistance, throw Santana out of the ring, and steal the pinfall win on Joe Hendry.

TNA Slammiversary came to an end with the TNA World Title and TNA Knockouts World Championship being held by WWE NXT wrestlers.
