AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door and TNA Slammiversary will no longer be going head-to-head on Sunday, June 28.

TNA have officially moved the start time of the Slammiversary pay-per-view to 3 pm ET, with the show set to emanate from the Agganis Arena in Boston, Massachusetts. This prevents the show airing against Forbidden Door, which has a scheduled start time of 7 pm ET at the SAP Center in San Jose, California, although the start time likely refers to when the pre-show will begin, with AEW pay-per-views traditionally beginning at 8 pm ET.

There have been issues between TNA and All Elite Wrestling in recent months, with TNA President Carlos Silva in early April pulling TNA wrestlers from a number of independent wrestling matches against AEW talents. Carlos Silva cited shows airing against TNA Thursday Night IMPACT and TNA allegedly being blocked from arenas as the reasons for his decision.

TNA's initial official reason after the talents were pulled was "partner conflicts", but it emerged soon after that Carlos Silva was reportedly unhappy about AEW Collision airing against TNA IMPACT on April 2 after Warner Bros. Discovery pre-empted Collision to Thursday nights due to coverage of March Madness on TNT.

AEW and TNA previously had a working relationship through late 2020 and 2021, with AEW's Kenny Omega and Christian Cage notably holding the then-IMPACT World Championship. TNA now have a working relationship with WWE in a partnership that has been in place since May 2024.
