Tony Khan Believes ROH Would Have More Value If It Were Called 'AEW Ring Of Honor'

Tony Khan understands that ROH would benefit from coming under the AEW banner

The Ring Of Honor was saved from non-existence by Tony Khan’s purchase of the company, with the brand getting up and running once again with a weekly show on HonorPlus and multiple PPVs each year. However, it has been a constant point of discussion when it comes to the interest, momentum, and quality of ROH, which is at a significantly less position than AEW.

During the post-show press conference which took place following ROH Death Before Dishonor 2024 last night, Tony Khan was asked about the possibility of bringing ROH under the AEW banner, to which he seemed very open to the idea.

“I don’t think it’s out of the question to say, and I don’t think it’s sacrilegious to say that it would only help grow the ROH brand if I were to license it, sublicense, if it were AEW ROH. I don’t think that’s a crazy thing and I don’t think it would be sacrilegious or bad. I think it would actually be good for everybody. Then I think people would see more of the connectivity that exists between promotions and what we’re going for.

“Would Ring of Honor, frankly, have a lot more value as AEW Ring of Honor? Yeah, probably it would… And I think I’ve come to that realization as far as the presentation. And that might mean, frankly, a more cohesive absorption of the promotion.”

ROH is currently littered with several AEW wrestlers and those who appear regularly across both brands.
