Tony Khan Comments On MJF's New AEW Deal

Tony Khan is happy to have MJF back

After being off AEW TV throughout the summer, MJF returned at the All Out pay-per-view on September 4, winning the Casino Ladder Match as the Joker before he revealed he was under the mask after the main event.

MJF has since noted that he has signed a new deal with All Elite Wrestling that pays him a "stupid, absurd amount of money" and he didn't even have to sign a contract extension. His AEW deal expires in 2024.

Tony Khan was asked about MJF's new deal during an appearance on In The Kliq before Dynamite Grand Slam. The AEW President didn't comment on the new contract but did admit it was good to have MJF back.

"I don't want to comment on contractual status. But I would say it's great to have MJF back in AEW. I think it's great for the wrestling fans and certainly it's really helped us. We've had a lot of ratings momentum. We had great ratings going into All Out and they've only gotten stronger these last couple weeks and it's really building at the right time going into Grand Slam at Arthur Ashe Stadium this week," Khan said.
