Tony Khan Comments On William Regal's AEW Dynamite Promo Running Long

Tony Khan on William Regal's apology

Following his All Elite Wrestling debut at Revolution, William Regal appeared on the March 9 edition of Dynamite and cut an emotional promo about why he had aligned himself with Jon Moxley and Bryan Danielson.

The promo was widely praised, although Regal felt the need to apologise the next day due to his promo going over its allotted time, forcing later segments to be cut or rushed.

Following Regal's apology, AEW President Tony Khan commented on the promo during an appearance on Busted Open Radio

"That was an amazing promo and it sets a great example, I think. Everybody in the back has so much respect for him, and you know, if his interview goes long, it means somebody else might have to cut their interview or their segment short. And that was what happened and it was very cool of him to apologise to anybody that was affected by it, because generally, we try to keep the show moving, try to keep the shows on time. You know, that was very cool of him to do that and he didn't have to, but he did, and I think it shows what a classy person he is," Khan said.
