Tony Khan Provides AEW Full Gear Attendance & Buys Estimates

AEW Full Gear 2023 drew good numbers

AEW Full Gear 2023 last night saw a lot of acclaim with its match quality, as matches such as Adam Page vs. Swerve Strickland received a lot of headlines, and at the media scrum last night, Tony Khan followed this up by touting the numerical success of the show in terms of both attendance and ticket sales.

Although X account WrestleTix’s final update on attendance prior to AEW Full Gear noted that 12,754 tickets had been distributed, Tony Khan claimed that over 13,000 tickets had been sold for the Los Angeles Kia Forum for the PPV, remarking that it was the highest attended Full Gear event in history - this being the fifth annual edition of the show since its 2019 debut.

Khan also provided a rough estimate for PPV buys, stating that it was at least over 100,000, looking to surpass the number of the inaugural WrestleDream PPV last month. On X, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer provided a more specific figure at around 125,000 PPV buys thus far.
