Tony Khan Says Jack Perry Is Doing 'Great Things' In NJPW

Tony Khan comments on Jack Perry’s work in NJPW

Jack Perry may be the self-proclaimed ‘Scapegoat’ of All Elite Wrestling, but the former Jungle Boy is turning heads in New Japan Pro-Wrestling with his run as part of the House of Torture.

Perry already boasts NJPW Cup tournament wins over Shota Umino and Toru Yano since joining the company, and his performances have drawn praise from AEW President Tony Khan, with Khan saying the following to Comic Book Nation:

“Well, I think you gotta stay tuned. Absolutely, Jack’s doing great things in New Japan. The New Japan Cup - he’s had a great run. He’s established himself over there. He feels he’s the 'Scapegoat.' But he’s doing great things, and he’s wrestling for a great promotion, and it’s been great tracking Jack’s progress in New Japan. And I think he’s done excellent work there,” said Khan.

Recent reports suggested that Khan was ‘really mad’ with Perry for costing AEW CM Punk, but some have taken Khan’s stance on things as kayfabe. Perry has not featured for AEW since All In Wembley in August 2023, with Perry subsequently indefinitely suspended for his part in the infamous backstage fracas with Punk.
