Tony Khan Teases More AEW New Signings In The 'Next Few Weeks'

Could we see new faces at 'Winter Is Coming'?

Tony Khan has teased AEW introducing more new faces and signings on their shows in the next few weeks.

The free agency pool of professional wrestling is swimming with an abundance of talent, given WWE's recent string of high-profile releases and ROH going on hiatus.

In an interview with Christopher Walker of DAZN, Khan was reminded that Sting debuted for AEW at the 2020 Winter Is Coming, and pressed on whether fans could expect similar surprises this Wednesday at the 2021 version.

Khan replied: "I'm more than aware that there’s a number of free agents out there, wrestlers I admire too, but I’ve got to say that you just have to keep watching over these next few weeks and not just ‘Winter is Coming.’"

After the twists and turns of last year's show, in which Kenny Omega won the AEW World Championship and 'The Forbidden Door' was first kicked open, Khan is anticipating a similarly memorable show this week.

"It’s Hangman Page defending his AEW title against Bryan Danielson. A dream match. Do I have to say anything else?

"MJF against Dante Martin for the Dynamite Diamond Ring. A wrestler who’s had a really good 2021 against a 20-year-old with one of the brightest futures in the entire industry. What about Serena Deeb against Hikaru Shida? Another match that has the potential to steal the show.

"This is a show that I’m really excited about and I’m confident that ‘Winter is Coming’ this time around can have the same impact as last year’s version."
