Tony Khan Unable To Comment On CM Punk Signing With WWE

Tony Khan to able to comment on CM Punk signing with WWE

CM Punk’s WWE return is the talk of the wrestling world, with Punk’s return to the company once thought highly unlikely.

Punk returned to the company at Survivor Series on November 25, several months after his firing from All Elite Wrestling for his conduct backstage at All In. AEW President Tony Khan was asked his opinion on Punk’s WWE return during a recent interview on BBC Radio West Midlands, with Khan saying the following:

"Can't talk about that, nor do I think it's the time or the place," Khan responded. "But I appreciate you asking, and I'm very excited about AEW All In Wembley Stadium. Not to dodge or duck your question, it's just not something I can legally talk about.”

Khan stated he ‘feared for his life’ at All In, with it reported that Punk ‘lunged’ for Khan, following a backstage fight with Jack Perry. Punk was earlier suspended by AEW in September 2022 for his part in a separate backstage fight with The Young Bucks, Kenny Omega, and Ace Steel.
