Trios Elimination Steel Cage Match Set For AEW Collision Next Week

AEW have announced a big steel cage for next week's Collision

During last night’s January 20 episode of AEW Collision in St. Louis, Missouri, a huge match was set for next week’s show, bringing to a close weeks and weeks of tension between two warring sides.

Over the last few weeks, various combinations of FTR & Daniel Garcia clashing with The House Of Black have taken place due to growing issues between the members of both alliances, all leading up to a massive encounter on next week’s Collision. Following a brawl last night amongst the six men, Dax Harwood issued out a challenge on behalf of his allies to the House Of Black for a trios elimination Steel Cage match.

Daniel Garcia picked up a victory over Buddy Matthews last night, though his celebration was cut short as the House Of Black hit the ring for an attack. Last week saw the House Of Black get the upper hand in a trios match, and the previous week had FTR defeating Malakai Black & Buddy Matthews in tag team action.

It isn’t often that AEW pulls out the Steel Cage stipulation, with this marking just the seventh Steel Cage match in the last five years for the company. Previous bouts have included Cody Rhodes vs. Wardlow, Young Bucks vs. Lucha Brothers, Britt Baker vs. Thunder Rosa, and Jack Perry vs. Luchasaurus.
