Kevin Owens confronting Triple H following WWE Saturday Night's Main Event

A post-show angle following WWE Saturday Night's Main Event saw the night end with Kevin Owens in possession of the Winged Eagle version of the Undisputed WWE Championship and Cody Rhodes being stretchered out of the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum.

Cody Rhodes successfully defended the Undisputed WWE Title against Kevin Owens in the main event of SNME. The final match of the night featured two ref bumps and a visual pin from KO but Cody ended SNME with his hand raised after hitting Owens with a Cross Rhodes onto a steel chair. Cody then got rid of the evidence before Charles Robinson recovered from his bump and counted the 1-2-3.

Saturday Night's Main Event went off the air on NBC and YouTube with Cody Rhodes celebrating with the Winged Eagle aloft. For the fans inside the Nassau Coliseum, though, they saw Kevin Owens charge back to the ring after the show and lay out Cody Rhodes with a Package Piledriver.

Owens then stole the Winged Eagle as Rhodes received medical attention. Cody was ultimately stretchered out of the building, seemingly writing him off TV in the process.

As Owens looked to make his way to the back, he was suddenly confronted by WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H, who got into a shouting match with Owens and then pushed the WWE talent, knocking the Winged Eagle out of his hands.

KO ultimately picked up the 1988-1998 version of the WWE Title and he and Triple H had to be separated by WWE officials. Triple H eventually walked off as fans continued to film 'The Game.'

WWE kicked off the Kevin Owens vs. Cody Rhodes feud with an unbroadcast moment earlier this year when Owens turned on Cody following Bad Blood, laying him out next to Rhodes' tour bus.
