Triple H On Chris Jericho's Broken Skull Sessions Appearance: "It's Not Shocking"

Says WWE is "open for business"

AEW star Chris Jericho appearing on the WWE-backed Broken Skull Sessions may be surprising to some, but it's apparently not surprising to Triple H.

During Friday's media call for NXT TakeOver: Stand and Deliver, Gary Cassidy of Inside the Ropes asked Triple H about Jericho's forthcoming appearance on Steve Austin's WWE Network program.

"Look, we’re open for business. I’ve said it a million times. Vince has been very adamant in that, right? Open for business, what’s best for business for the WWE and open to working with whoever that is," Triple H said. "It’s a funny thing that people sometimes create their own situations in their head, but it’s not shocking to me.

“People made comments about people after they leave and they received a nice call from Vince or whoever that is. Yeah, yeah, it’s not shocking to me at all. The perception and the creation of what people believe in their heads when they have zero knowledge of it. You know, personally it's amazing sometimes, the fantasy world that is created. Not shocking to me in any way.”

Austin noted that Vince McMahon gave his blessing for Jericho to appear. Tony Khan gave Jericho his blessing as well.

Broken Skull Sessions with guest Chris Jericho airs on Sunday, April 11.
