Triple H Reacts To Well Wishes Following In-Ring Retirement

Thanks from Triple H

After Triple H announced his retirement from in-ring competition on Friday, tributes poured in from across the wrestling world, with some thanking The Game for his assistance in NXT while others congratulated him on a long and successful career inside the squared circle.

Triple H has now responded to those comments, writing on Twitter

"There will come a time when you believe everything is finished that will be the beginning. - Louis L'Amour.

"I am truly humbled by the texts, calls, posts, and all the kind words. I'm grateful to each and every one of you. I wish I could respond to each of you, but I type so slow I'd never leave the house again. Please know how much they all mean to me.

"Stay healthy, be grateful for all you have and seize the day........I know I am!"

Triple H announced his retirement after suffering a cardiac event in September of 2021.

The 52-year-old revealed his heart failed due to a genetic disorder and his ejection fraction fell as low as 12%, well below a healthy level. He then underwent surgery and now has an ICD in his chest.

While his in-ring career may be over, Triple H noted he has since returned to the office and remains in his role as Executive Vice President of Global Talent Strategy & Development.
