Tully Blanchard Gives Update On Tessa Blanchard's Pro-Wrestling Status
Tully Blanchard speaks on daughter Tessa’s pro-wrestling future
Sep 16, 2024
Tessa Blanchard is one of the most controversial names in recent pro-wrestling history, with the former TNA World Champion having burned multiple bridges in the industry, whilst accusations of racism and bullying have also been levelled at the third-generation star.
Speaking on Tullyvision, Tessa’s father Tully Blanchard spoke of his daughter’s current commitments, revealing that she is currently studying in university:
"Every semester she has made the Dean's List. And, my son also — when he went to UTSA in the ROTC program — he made the Dean's List every time," said Tully.
Despite being in full-time education, Tessa is still working for CMLL on a full-time basis:
"She is balancing and handling both sides of that, and I told her, I said, 'The most important thing is make sure you steal the show every night, or at least try to,'" Tully added.
Reports earlier in 2024 claimed that TNA Wrestling were considering a move to bring Blanchard back into the fold, but these ultimately never materialised. In TNA, Blanchard broke down walls by becoming the first woman to reign as TNA/IMPACT World Champion with a win over Sami Callihan at Hard to Kill 2020, but was fired later in the year after refusing to come back to drop the belt.
