Two More Wrestlers Advance In King & Queen Of The Ring Tournaments

Two wrestlers won at a live event to reach the next round of King & Queen Of The Ring

Due to time constraints on both Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown over the last week, some of the first round matches in both the King & Queen Of The Ring tournaments were bumped to live events over this weekend.

Last night at a house show in Chattanooga, Tennessee at the McKenzie Arena, fans were treated to two matches from the SmackDown bracket - one in either tournament.

LA Knight scored a victory over Santos Escobar of Legado Del Fantasma. The absence of Knight’s match on TV led to #WeWantLAKnight trending on X after it was revealed that his match against Escobar would not be televised. Either way, Knight scored the victory and will go on to battle The Bloodline’s Tama Tonga in the quarter finals next week.

Over on the Queen of The Ring side of things, Tiffany Stratton bounced back from her WWE Women’s Championship match loss at WWE Backlash France as she defeated Michin in the first round of the tournament. Stratton’s victory will see face Bianca Belair on SmackDown next week.

Matches on the RAW bracket such as Kofi Kingston vs. Rey Mysterio and Shayna Baszler vs. Zelina Vega will be taking place later today at a live event in Macon, Georgia. It was noted earlier this week that WWE would not be airing these matches, but would instead maybe show some highlights on social media.
