Two Title Matches Confirmed For AEW X NJPW Forbidden Door 2024

AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door two feature two title matches

The upcoming third instalment in the AEW x NJPR Forbidden Door pay-per-view series is just around the corner, and ahead of the supershow on June 30, two new title matches have been confirmed for the card.

On the June 5 edition of AEW Dynamite, the awkward relationship between Toni Storm, Mariah May, and Mina Shirakawa came to a head, and after Storm threw out a challenge to Mina for a match at Forbidden Door earlier this week, it was confirmed that the match will go ahead, with Storm’s AEW Women’s World Championship on the line.

That won’t be the only women’s title contested on the show, as after a face-off on the May 29 edition of Dynamite, it was confirmed that TBS Champion Mercedes Moné and NJPW STRONG Women’s Champion Stephanie Vaquer will clash at Forbidden Door with both titles on the line. The two have clashed once before, with Moné besting Vaquer in the tournament to crown the first ever STRONG Women’s Champion in 2023.

Updated card, AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door, June 30 2024:

  • Swerve Strickland (c) vs. Will Ospreay - AEW World Championship
  • Toni Storm (c) vs. Mina Shirakawa - AEW Women’s World Championship
  • Mercedes Moné (c) vs. Stephanie Vaquer (c) - AEW TBS Championship & NJPW STRONG Women’s Championship
  • Ladder match for the vacant TNT Championship
