Tyrus Added To NWA Hard Times Main Event

Tyrus in another NWA PPV main event

While the Hard Times pay-per-view on November 12 was set to be main evented by an NWA Worlds Heavyweight Title match between champion Trevor Murdoch and Matt Cardona, the National Wrestling Alliance have altered that match.

It was announced on NWA USA that Tyrus was cashing in his NWA Television Title to challenge for the top belt. As a result, the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship will be defended in a Three-Way pitting Murdoch against both Cardona and Tyrus.

Tyrus has been a part of the NWA since the promotion returned from the COVID-19 pandemic in March of 2021 and he has become one of the organisation's top stars. He unsuccessfully challenged Trevor Murdoch for the Worlds Heavyweight Title at NWA 74 in August. Nick Aldis was originally scheduled to challenge for the gold but he was pulled from the contest in a worked shoot angle.

Matt Cardona is a former NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion. He was forced to vacate the gold in June due to injury, which led to Murdoch regaining the title at Alwayz Ready.
