Legendary luchador Ultimo Guerrero made his AEW debut this past weekend, losing to AEW Continental Champion Kazuchika Okada on Collision.

Regrettably, the match did not go exactly as planned. Luchablog noted ahead of time that the match was said to have not gone well, due to an issue with Guerrero's mask. The site noted that Guerrero has not been masked in a decade, though he was when AEW CEO Tony Khan was watching CMLL regularly in the mid-2000s.

AEW promoted Guerrero in his masked identity, but the man himself showed up at the arena without one. This led to someone backstage in AEW having to make him a mask in under an hour.

Unfortunately, this new mask wouldn't stay on his head properly and Guerrero cut some spots that could have resulted in it falling off, leading to a lower-quality match.

In a Facebook post, the 52-year-old confirmed that he arrived at the building not realising he needed to bring a mask with him. The CMLL star also praised the person who made his makeshift mask on short notice, thanking them for their hard work.

With CMLL wrestlers making their presence felt on AEW television in the build to the Forbidden Door pay-per-view, there are reportedly wrestlers in AEW who would like to go the other way and perform in Arena Mexico.
