Update: Fans Being Allowed Back Into Raymond James Stadium For WrestleMania 37

The event is still on as scheduled

Close to 5:30 pm EST, fans inside Tampa's Raymond James Stadium in Tampa were advised by the stadium's public address announcer to seek shelter on the concourse, amid dark clouds hovering over the venue, and reports of lightning in the area.

The official stadium Twitter had also announced that the parking lots and gates were closed, and advised those outside to remain in their vehicles until further notice.

However, it seems the all clear has been given, for now. At 5:44 pm EST, another announcement came in from the stadium Twitter feed that the lightning threat had passed, and that the parking lots and gates had been re-opened.

Ryan Satin of Fox Sports announced just after 6 pm that fans inside were now allowed to return to their seats.

As it currently stands, WrestleMania 37 will go on as scheduled, despite the considerable possibility of rain in Tampa during the early portion of the event. The kickoff show begins at 7 pm EST, and the actual pay-per-view at 8 pm EST.
