Drew McIntyre has provided an update on his physical condition ahead of this weekend's Elimination Chamber pay-per-view.

The Scottish Warrior needed to have fluid drained from his knee prior to his match with Jimmy Uso on last week's episode of SmackDown, sparking concern that he could be set to miss out on the show in Toronto, where he is scheduled to clash with John Cena, Damian Priest, CM Punk, Seth Rollins and Logan Paul in the eponymous Chamber.

During a media call to promote Elimination Chamber, McIntyre put those concerns to bed by saying:

"I mean, I have no concerns with the knee personally. I couldn't bend it fully, unfortunately, and I told the doctor, 'Listen, like let's get this fluid out'. He wasn't exactly over the moon about it, but medically it was safe or I wouldn't have done it in the first place. But it was legitimately 45 minutes before the match. I told him, 'This is going to hinder me in the match.'"

A recent report suggested that WWE are reconsidering the 39-year-old's WrestleMania 41 plans amid fan backlash. The original plan was for Drew to clash with Damian Priest in a singles match, something that McIntyre himself was said to be disappointed by after his stellar 2024.
