Rusev and Lana haven't been featured on WWE television since the Bulgarian Brute's tandem with Shinsuke Nakamura came to an end, as the couple's future with the company appears to be uncertain.

While the pair remain active on social media, we haven't really heard anything in terms of their respective prospects on SmackDown Live.

However, an update of sorts has finally been provided by Dave Meltzer, who tweeted out earlier today: "They are on a break. Not sure about what they want to do next."

Going off what Meltzer is saying here, it would appear that he's heard both Lana and Rusev are considering their WWE futures. However, after seeing the likes of Mojo Rawley, Maria and Mike Kanellis all being handed bumper new deals by WWE recently, you would think the chances of them leaving for pastures new would be small.

Rusev hasn't wrestled a televised WWE match since the

BIGGEST BATTLE ROYAL EVER

at Super ShowDown back at the start of June - his last televised match before that was a six-man tag on the April 16 SmackDown Live.

Lana, who has appeared more as a manager than wrestler over the last year, last wrestled a televised match on the WrestleMania 35 kickoff show in the women's battle royal.
