Report emerged earlier this week that WWE were in “intensive talks” about holding more two-night premium live events in the near future, with Survivor Series 2026, Royal Rumble 2027, and potentially Money In The Bank being included in these discussions. This comes after WWE’s first ever two-night SummerSlam was officially in the history books, with another two-night event announced for Minneapolis next year. However, there are now conflicting reports.

It is noted by Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that in actual fact, WWE are not planning to host anymore two-night PLEs. This comes following Nick Khan’s comments regarding WWE’s new deal with ESPN/Disney to host their PLEs in the US after WrestleMania 42 next year in a $1.6 billion deal, noting that the deal was for 12 major shows per year including eight single night events and two two-night events, meaning that no two-night Survivor Series or Royal Rumble is currently planned.

This doesn’t mean that discussions are not ongoing though, and it is noted in WON that the idea of a two-night Royal Rumble could change and be implemented at any time.
