Update On Status Of Meiko Satomura

Meiko Satomura is a former NXT UK Women’s Champion, and briefly spent some time on the US brand of NXT too, last appearing all the way back at NXT Roadblock 2023 in a losing effort to then NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez. Satomura would return to a WWE ring during live events on WWE’s tour of Japan in 2024. Aside from that, Satomura, despite being under contract with WWE, has been regularly competing in Japan across several promotions. 

Satomura has been back in the US recently, appearing on WWE’s social media taking photos with NXT Women’s Champion Giulia. Fightful Select have offered some more insight into her trip to the United States, with Corey Brennan revealing that she is set to be present at NXT Roadblock on March 11. It isn’t yet known in what capacity, and whether she will be just behind the scenes or appearing on-screen. 

Along with her appearances at Japanese shows, Satomura also recently worked in the UK. Her visit to the US has reportedly led to several requests to compete on the US independent scene being rejected. NXT Roadblock is set to host a major match as NXT Women’s Champion will battle NXT North American Women’s Champion Stephanie Vaquer in a title unification.
