WWE heads to the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Missouri in just a week’s time for the 2025 Backlash premium live event on May 10. On last night’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown, another match was added to the card, continuing the build to next week’s show.
New United States Champion Jacob Fatu will be putting his title on the line for the very first time in a fatal four way match. Former champion LA Knight will be stepping for his title rematch, also joined by the feuding pair of Drew McIntyre and Damian Priest. McIntyre defeated Knight by disqualification on last week’s show to become the new number one contender, but due to the inconclusive finish, more names were added to the mix by SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis. Knight and Priest went toe-to-toe in singles action this week, but this match also ended with a non-finish due to the interference of The Bloodline’s Solo Sikoa.
Fatu won the gold at WrestleMania 41, where he defeated Knight to become a singles champion for the first time in WWE.
The updated match card for Backlash 2025 is as follows;
