Valerie Loureda Given WWE In-Ring Name

Valerie Loureda has been given a new moniker following her in-ring debut last month

Former Bellator MMA fighter and current NXT signee Valerie Loureda has been given a new WWE ring name.

Loureda took to Twitter yesterday to announce that, going forward, she will be known as 'Lola Vice', writing: "Lola Vice the first Cuban American woman in @WWE history #WWE #NXT #MIAMIVICE", accompanied by a video of her partaking in a photoshoot wearing what will presumably be her ring gear.

Loureda signed a multi-year WWE contract in June and reported to the Performance Center in August.

After participating in a Halloween Battle Royal on an NXT house show in October (dressed as Lola Bunny), she made her proper in-ring debut in a six-person tag match at a non-televised NXT live event on November 12.

Loureda fought five times for Bellator, amassing a record of 4-1, before making the transition to professional wrestling.

There is no word on when Loureda will make her televised debut, but WWE Vice President of Talent Development Creative Shawn Michaels noted during a media call to promote October's Halloween Havoc that Loureda was 'coming along great' and would appear in 2023 'for sure'.
