WALTER Wants WWE NXT Dream Match With Samoa Joe
Joe vs. WALTER would certainly be a hard hitting affair
WALTER is currently the most dominant champion in WWE. Holding the WWE NXT UK Championship for over 860 days, he has chopped, bludgeoned and battered everyone in his wake, and he would love to take on Samoa Joe.
Talking with The Metro ahead of his NXT: Takeover 36 title defence against Ilja Dragunov, WALTER spoke of his admiration for Joe, saying:
“When I started with wrestling and stuff like that, Joe was somebody I’d be impressed with – “Oh that’s the guy, right now”. And he was, for so long. He was the guy wherever he went.
“I think we kind of feel the same position, just in different generations in wrestling. Joe’s match Kenta Kobashi years ago, it’s still one of my favourites and it’s great to watch. If there’s ever a chance to compete against Joe, I would love to do it.”
Joe himself is competing at TakeOver 36, challenging NXT Champion Karrion Kross in the main event. Whatever the outcome of either match, a WALTER vs. Joe bout would certainly be one for the ages.
