Wardlow Hasn't Ruled Out An AEW Match With MJF

Will the match happen?

While Wardlow has been MJF's muscle since Mr. Mayhem's debut following Full Gear 2019, tensions between the Pinnacle members have continued to build in recent months, especially as Wardlow's popularity has grown.

If tensions will eventually boil over and lead to a singles match ultimately remains to be seen but Wardlow didn't rule out facing MJF while speaking on Insight with Chris Van Vliet.

"So God, who knows, man. I mean, obviously, tensions have been high, and he loves adjusting my contract. He seems to make changes to it weekly, which is starting to get under my skin a little bit. But we've been together for two years, he pays me to watch his back," Wardlow began.

"So, you know, that's technically my job. So I will continue to do so as long as I'm under contract to do so. Because that's my job. I do my job, and I do it well. But who knows what happens? I know that contract isn't forever. So who knows what will happen down the road."

Wardlow currently finds himself entwined in MJF's feud with CM Punk and the 34-year-old was recently defeated by The Second City Saviour.
