Will Ospreay Retires Storm Driver '93 Following AEW Dynasty

Will Ospreay to stop using Storm Driver '93 following AEW Dynasty

Will Ospreay will no longer perform the Storm Driver '93 following Sunday's All Elite Wrestling Dynasty pay-per-view

Ospreay went one-on-one with Bryan Danielson in a headline match at Dynasty, a contest that has since been proclaimed by many as one of the best matches of the current millennium. The closing stages saw Ospreay hit a Hidden Blade and Storm Driver '93, with referee Bryce Remsburg checking on Danielson following the move. Ospreay then hit another Hidden Blade before pinning Danielson to win the match.

Following the contest, AEW's medical team rushed into the ring to check on a writhing Danielson while Ospreay looked on concerned to sell the angle.

Speaking at the Dynasty post-show scrum, Ospreay announced he would be retiring the Storm Driver '93 and noted he feels awful about what happened to Danielson. Ospreay started using his own version of the Tiger Diver '91 at Forbidden Door 2023 during his match with Kenny Omega. The former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion has since used the move on several occasions for his major matches.

Ospreay stated after becoming full-time with All Elite Wrestling that he wouldn't be surprised if the promotion banned the move
