Women's Title Match Set For WWE SmackDown

Women's Title match next week on WWE SmackDown!

WWE have made one final title match official before the end of 2022.

The company have announced that Ronda Rousey will defend the SmackDown Women's Championship against Raquel Rodriguez on the December 30 edition of the blue brand. Rodriguez earned the title shot after she won a Gauntlet Match on the December 23 episode of SmackDown, last eliminating Shayna Baszler as Rousey looked on.

Rousey and Baszler have repeatedly attacked Rodriguez in recent weeks, targeting her arm. The Baddest Woman on the Planet has been SmackDown Women's Champion since reclaiming the gold from Liv Morgan at October's Extreme Rules pay-per-view.

Also announced for SmackDown is Sheamus vs. Solo Sikoa as the issues between The Bloodline and The Brawling Brutes continue. Lacey Evans will also make her return.

Previously announced for SmackDown is a major headline match as John Cena will make his in-ring return to team with Kevin Owens against Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn. The match is reportedly expected to have implications for the Royal Rumble pay-per-view on January 28.
