World Title Match Set For IMPACT 1000
IMPACT 1000 will feature a World Championship match
IMPACT Wrestling’s upcoming 1000th episode celebration is set to be a major show, with several names from IMPACT/TNA’s past set to return for the show, with it also now announced that the IMPACT World Championship will be contested on the show.
IMPACT World Champion Alex Shelley will be hoping to keep ahold of the belt on the show on September 9, with the Motor City Machine Gun set to clash with current World Tag Team Champion Trey Miguel.
This will be Miguel’s first shot at the title since challenging then-champion Eddie Edwards in July 2020, but Miguel will be feeling confident of his chances heading into IMPACT 1000 as he has a record of 2-1 against Shelley in singles competition in IMPACT.
