World Title Rematch Set For IMPACT Down Under

Alex Shelley vs. Steve Maclin II at IMPACT Down Under

IMPACT Wrestling could be forced to change the Slammiversary card depending on the fallout from their upcoming Down Under shows.

IMPACT will head to Australia later this month for their first-ever shows in the country and two Down Under events are scheduled to take place in Wagga Wagga, New South Wales on Friday, June 30 and Saturday, July 1 at the Equex Centre.

The promotion has started to announce the first matches for the show and the June 30 event will be headlined by a rematch for the IMPACT World Championship between Alex Shelley and Steve Maclin. Shelley defeated Maclin for the IMPACT World Title at Against All Odds on June 9.

Shelley is currently scheduled to defend the top belt at Slammiversary against Nick Aldis, who recently turned heel by hitting the Motor City Machine Gun with the championship.

On the July 1 show, Knockouts World Champion Deonna Purrazzo will go one-on-one with Gisele Shaw. If Shaw wins, the Knockouts World Title match at Slammiversary will become a Three-Way. The match at the moment is scheduled to be a singles match between Purrazzo and Trinity.

Both events are scheduled to stream on FITE.
