WWE Advertising 'Pitch Black Match' For Royal Rumble

A Pitch Black Match will take place at WWE Royal Rumble

WWE are set to hold a match at the upcoming Royal Rumble pay-per-view in partnership with Mountain Dew.

No matches have been announced for the Rumble as of yet but the company has started advertising a 'Pitch Black Match' for the event. It was first reported back in November that a Pitch Black Match was under serious consideration for Royal Rumble, with the match believed to be for Bray Wyatt. The two-time Universal Champion has been locked in a feud with LA Knight since Wyatt's return at Extreme Rules in October.

The match will be an advertisement for Mountain Dew's Pitch Black flavour, which will receive a limited release in the new year. Mountain Dew Pitch Black was first introduced as a Halloween special in 2004 and has been brought back several times since.

Also featured in the brief advertisement for Royal Rumble is a silhouette of Edge, hinting the WWE Hall of Famer will be back for January 28. He is rumoured to face "Demon" Finn Balor in a Hell in a Cell Match. Roman Reigns will also reportedly be in action to defend his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Kevin Owens.
