WWE Announces Three Matches For SmackDown Next Week

Three matches have been set for next week's WWE SmackDown

SmackDown this past week saw WWE host a special “New Year’s Revolution” episode of the blue brand, and it had some big matches such as the US Title number one contenders tournament finals between Kevin Owens and Santos Escobar, a Women’s Championship match between Iyo Sky and Michin, and a triple threat clash as LA Knight, Randy Orton, and AJ Styles fought to become the number one contender for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. WWE are already looking ahead to next week, and much of the field for SmackDown is already set as three matches have been announced for the show.

Following on from Santos Escobar turning his back on the LWO, his new allies in Humberto Carrillo and Angel Garza will take on his former friends Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro in tag team action. Escobar is on the back of a loss to Kevin Owens, so he will be hoping Carrillo & Garza can get the job done next week.

Next, Cameron Grimes will get a shot to make an impression on SmackDown next week as he will go one on one with Grayson Waller. The pair had an interaction backstage to set up this match. This will be Grimes’ first outing on SmackDown since November.

Finally, the biggest match set for SmackDown next week is a huge clash between Bianca Belair and Bayley, who have had an on-and-off rivalry for quite some time, as Damage CTRL have continued to target Belair. The pair will both be looking to gain momentum ahead of the Royal Rumble, where they have both announced their respective entries into the match.
