The new AEW World Champion Samoa Joe has yet to find his first challenger, but several different wrestlers have set their sights on his newly won gold, including the likes of Swerve Strickland, Wardlow, and others. Another name can be added to that list too as of last night’s AEW Collision.

The current FTW Champion Hook delivered a prerecorded promo, noting that he has one of the best win percentages in AEW, and that he wants some more gold. He said that the person he is targeting is someone he has watched for a young age, before revealing that he was coming after Samoa Joe and the AEW World Championship.

Hook has an overall AEW record of 43-3, a win percentage that only the likes of Sting can compare to, though he has only competed in tag team action. It wasn’t revealed if or when Hook could challenge Samoa Joe, but the seeds have now been planted for the young star’s first shot at a world title.
