Several UK independent wrestling talents were invited to WWE Clash at the Castle and the Friday Night SmackDown taping on June 14 as WWE's guests and to work as extras, according to Fightful Select's Corey Brennan.

Talents confirmed to have been invited to Clash at the Castle include Damien Corvin, Rhio, Aaron Echo, Andy Roberts, Shreddy, BT Gunn, RP Davies, Danny Jones, and Mulligan. Other talents were also invited by WWE.

Several wrestlers were utilised as extras, including RP Davies who was spotted helping AJ Styles to the back following his I Quit Match for the Undisputed WWE Title against Cody Rhodes at Clash at the Castle.

Gable Sapolsky helped to organise and invite talent to Clash at the Castle. Sapolsky has been back with WWE since 2022 as a creative consultant and talent scout. He is also in charge of booking extras, particularly for Monday Night Raw and Friday Night SmackDown tapings.

It is unknown if WWE issued contract offers to any of the indy talents.

WWE Clash at the Castle ended in controversial fashion as Drew McIntyre failed to capture the World Heavyweight Championship in the main event following interference from CM Punk. Such was the anger at the main event that some fans reportedly ended up fighting amongst themselves.
