WWE Confirm There Will Be No 'WWE 2K21' Video Game

A new game isn't in the budget this year...

WWE have this evening confirmed the news that there will be no 'WWE 2K21' video game.

The announcement was made during the company's Q1 2020 conference call and arrives after WWE's most recent title, 2K20, was universally condemned by gamers who experienced many glitches and graphical errors.

When asked if a new game was in the budget for this year, the company confirmed it wasn't.

WWE's video games recently underwent a change in developers after Yuke's Co Ltd, who had links with the company's games since the year 2000, made way for Visual Concepts - who themselves had been responsible for other 2K releases surrounding basketball and ice hockey.

The news of no new video game for WWE this year was originally reported by former SmackDown vs. Raw writer Justin Leeper, who had heard the news from sources last week.

It would appear that ahead of the Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X's releases towards the end of this year that 2K will be taking some time to update their gaming engines before releasing a new WWE title.
