WWE returned to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for the sixth ever Crown Jewel event, a night that guaranteed the coronation of the first ever men’s and women’s WWE Crown Jewel Champions.

But what else happened at the event? We have recaps from all the matches below.

The Bloodline (Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, & Jacob Fatu) def. Roman Reigns & The Usos

The commentary team of Michael Cole and Corey Graves pushed the idea of unity with the New Bloodline as opposed to the autocratic nature of Roman Reigns’ Bloodline, and this was shown when Reigns and Jimmy Uso came out together, with Jey Uso coming out separately. Curious.

Tama Tonga and Jey Uso started things, Jey surviving an early scare to take control and tag in brother Jimmy and hit a combined elbow drop for one. The Bloodline regrouped on the floor with Tonga Loa as the crowd erupted in ‘WE WANT ROMAN’ chants, but Jey refused Roman’s hand to tag Jimmy back in, as The Bloodline took advantage of the confusion to establish control of the bout, Solo Sikoa finally tagging in to pick the bones of Jimmy.

Jey Uso tagged back in to tangle with Tama Tonga once more, but Jacob Fatu would level the former Intercontinental Champion with a pop-up Samoan drop as The Bloodline’s dominance continued. The Bloodline utilised quick tags until Jey Uso took Tama Tonga out and brought in Roman Reigns to a huge pop, as Reigns and Solo exchanged punches in the middle of the ring. Reigns planted Solo with a standing uranage then readied for the Superman punch but Sikoa had it scouted… momentarily as Reigns regrouped and hit the punch to level the ‘New Tribal Chief’. Reigns went for the spear but Sikoa hit the Samoan Spike, Jimmy Uso breaking the pin at 2.9999 to keep the match alive. Jacob Fatu then cleared house, even surviving a Jey Uso flurry on the floor.

With everyone down Reigns hit Sikoa with another Superman punch, then launched Tonga Loa into the ref, hit Tama Tonga with Superman punch, but was rushed by Jacob Fatu who hit a beautiful moonsault before wiping out The Usos with a tope suicida. Two more Samoan Spikes from Solo Sikoa on Reigns and the three count as The New Bloodline stand tall.

The Bloodline celebrated by laying a beating on Reigns and The Usos, but when they looked to Pillmanise Jey Uso’s neck Sami Zayn’s music hit to a loud reaction, with Zayn slowly walking to the ring with a conflicted look on his face. Sami faced off with Solo SIkoa and momentarily looked to align with The New Bloodline, but hit Solo Sikoa with an exploder suplex as Reigns and The Usos cleared house, leaving Solo solo with his former allies. Reigns went for a spear as Zayn went for a knee, Sikoa dodging both men as Sami crushed Roman Reigns much to the chagrin of Jimmy Uso.

Jade Cargill & Bianca Belair (c) def. Damage CTRL (Kairi Sane & Iyo Sky), Meta-Four (Lash Legend & Jakara Jackson), & Chelsea Green & Piper Niven - WWE Women's Tag Team Championship

Four corners tag rules with two competitors wrestling at a time. Bianca Belair and Iyo Sky started off, Belair quickly gaining control, although the ‘EST’ missed a handspring moonsault to allow Sky back in, the two exchanging acrobatic manoeuvres with Iyo standing tall after a headscissor takedown. Bianca did get the moonsault after Chelsea Green tagged in, but only managed a two before bringing in Jade Cargill, but Lash Legend tagged in before Cargill could get going.

Big ‘NXT’ chants as Meta Four dominated Chelsea Green, Lash Legend getting in Cargill’s face on the apron.Plenty of quick tags as Kairi Sane came in to battle with Green and Jackson, Damage CTRL attempting a leg up superplex but Sky lost her footing and settled for a biel on Jackson and a shotgun dropkick. Piper Niven finally tagged in and instantly dominated, hitting a lovely sitout powerbomb on Sane before eating a Belair Blockbuster. Lash Legend crushed Belarir with a pump kick before squaring off with Cargill, the two powerhouses exchanging strikes. Piper crushed both women with a crossbody, but Green was unable to ge a pin as everyone rolled to the floor. Chelsea contemplated a top rope, then second rope, then first rope, then apron moonsault… but settled for a crossbody instead. Sane then hit a gorgeous Insane Elbow to the floor, the Sky flew with a moonsault, before Jackson leaped off Lash Legend’s shoulders with a crossbody, before Belair took Legend out with a Cactus Clothesline as all eight competitors lay crumpled on the floor.

Jade Cargill and Chelsea Green were the first to regroup, Cargill hitting Jaded for two as Damage Ctrl and Meta Four broke the pin. Belair ran in all guns blazing but found herself on the end of a Damage Ctrl double team, Iyo Sky unable to lock in a bridging German Suplex. Insane Elbow, then a Jackson dropkick on Sky as Meta Four hit a backpack launching Batista bomb. Rapid action as Green and Niven ran wild, but Niven accidentally hit Chelsea with a Vader Bomb thinking Cargill was to be her victim, the champs then hitting an impressive Doomsday Device on Piper to retain the titles.

Seth Rollins def. Bronson Reed

First match since July for Rollins, and he was fired up, meeting Reed on the ramp for a scrap. Reed - wearing MF DOOM tribute gear - brushed Rollins’ strikes off to send ‘The Messiah’ down the ramp, and wasted no time in dominating Rollins, launching him over the barricade then into the ring stairs - all before the match officially started.

In-ring Reed hit an instant Tsunami as the bell rang, but missed a second only to eat a Rollins stomp for two. Rollins fired back with chops and kicks. But could not connect with a Pedigree attempt as Reed hit the Earthquake drop onto Rollins’ chest. Rollins continued to fight back but Reed’s size advantage was too much to overcome, Reed absorbing everything Seth threw at him. Reed went for a powerbomb but Rolllins managed to plant the big man with a DDT to level the playing field. Reed was dazed, Rollins hitting several strikes and a diving clothesline but nothing could take Reed down. Bronson met Rollins o the top rope and went for a superplex, but Seth bit Bronson’s fingers out of the referee’s eye-line, then threw Reed to the mat and hit a perfect Art Barr style frog splash… for one.

Both men got back to their feet, with Rollins hitting a pair of roaring elbows to no avail as Reed hit a spiral bomb for two. Spicolli driver for two by Reed as frustration washed over his face, his expression souring further when Rollins kicked out at two after a big superplex. Rollins jawjacked with Reed telling him hoe should have finished him when he had the chance, but this fired up Reed who went up for a Tsunami only for Rollins to roll across the ring out of harms way. Reed went to a closer turnbuckle but Rollins rolled to the floor, ‘Big Bronson’ in close pursuit. Bronson hoisted up the steel steps, but Rollins chopblocked him then stomped his head into the steps as the ref started the standing ten-count, only for Rolins to hit another stomp as Reed made it back in to the ring. Seth went up top for a super stomp and got the definitive 1-2-3.

As Rollins made his way up the ramp Reed hopped to his feet with blood trickling down his face, Rollins looking a little freaked out by the big man's resilience.

Liv Morgan def. Nia Jax - WWE Women's Crown Jewel Championship

Both Morgan and Jax came to the ring on their own, and the question is will Tiffany Stratton or Dominik Mysterio make their presence felt during this one? Big match feel with in-ring introductions for this one.

Jax was on the front foot from the start, using her obvious size advantage to get a foothold in the bout. Morgan managed to take Jax down with a chop block to the knee, then hit a huge tilt-a-whirl tornado DDT for two. Jax fired back with a pop-up Samoan drop for two, and a big running knee in the corner, but Morgan avoided a second as Jax crashed into the turnbuckle. Liv went to capitalise but Nia caught her and took her up for a second rope Samoan drop for two. The crowd were firmly behind Liv in this heel vs. heel encounter, cheering loudly as Liv avoided a second super Samoan drop to drop Nia with a sunset flip powerbomb.

It’s Tiffy time as Tiffany Stratton ran down to cash in her Money in the Bank contract, but Jax stopped her from officially cashing in and backed her up the ramp. Morgan went to rush Nia with a tope suicida but ate a forearm smash as Jax ordered Tiffany back to the locker room. Liv hit a Samoan driver in the confusion as Stratton had a change of heart and returned to the ring as Jax countered Oblivion with a uranage for two.

Raquel Rodriguez appeared out of nowhere to stop Tiffy as Liv hit a second rope Codebreaker for two, Raquel and Liv then going to the floor to confront Stratton. Jax then rushed and crushed all three women with an avalanche before returning to the ring to crush Liv. Nia went up for the Annihilator as Dominik Mysterio appeared, allowing Raquel to rock Jax as Liv Morgan got the pinfall to win the Crown Jewel Championship.

Triple H arrived to present an emotional Liv with the title as pyro went off in the arena.

Randy Orton vs. Kevin Owens - no contest

Big reaction for Randy Orton, the Saudi crowd enthusiastically singing along with his theme. Good stuff. Kevin Owens wasn’t keen, rushing Orton with a steel chair and stomps on the floor. Owens readied the announce table but Randy hit him with a release back drop into the wood as the fight raged on. Orton smashed Owens’ head into the steel stairs but was favouring his knee, ‘The Viper’ wincing as he got into the ring. Owens used this time to swing the chair once more, the ref tossing the weapon when Owens went for another shot, only for Owen to hit the ref with a Stunner.

Officials rushed the ringside area as Orton swung the chair at Owens, the match seemingly called off. Orton again threw Owens into the table as agent Jamie Noble was tossed to the floor. Destroyer by Andrade on Hayes then the Kota Ibushi double moonsault onto a rolling Knight for two as Melo made the save. Melo ate an avalanche Spanish Fly from Andrade for two, Knight capitalising with a double flying elbow on both men for two.

Knight and Andrade jockeyed for position on the top rope as Melo attempted to take control. Knight leapt in to take Andrade down with a super backdrop, Melo then following up with a diving Fameasser on Knight for a near fall as Andrade made the save. Melo went for the facebuster but Knight appeared out of nowhere with a BFT for the pinfall win.

Cody Rhodes def. Gunther - WWE Crown Jewel Championship

Hot crowd for this one, both champions soaking in the atmosphere as the bell rang. Slow start as both men looked for a foothold, using hold-counter-hold wrestling as they felt one another out, Rhodes targeting Gunther’s arm and locking in a form of an armbar. Cody again went for a tope but Gunther caught him and slammed him kidneys first into the apron as the crowd chanted for the WWE Champion.

Cody avoided some more Gunther offence and went for a bodyslam but his back was too weak, Gunther levelling the champ to boos. Cody fired back with right hands but again failed to hit a bodyslam, Gunther reversing into a body press for two. Gunther went for a Crossface Chickenwing but couldn’t lock it, instead opting to chop Rhodes in the back then level him with a boot to the face. Rhdoes left arm hung limp as Gunther attacked it, Cody heading to the floor for a breather as Gunther posed in the ring.

Back in ring Gunther hit a series of strikes but took too long to capitalise, Cody finally muscling the big man up for a body slam. Rhodes hoisted Gunther up for a delayed front first vertical suplex, but Gunther fired back with a quick scoop slam and headed to the top rope, Rhodes regrouping to cut him off on the top and hitting hit a big superplex.
