WWE Forced To Abandon Jey Uso's 'YEET' Catchphrase

No 'YEET' for Jey Uso going forward

Jey Uso's 'YEET' is no more.

The 'YEET' catchphrase, while previously used by The Bloodline, has grown hugely in popularity over the past couple of months since Jey Uso's post-Fastlane press conference with Cody Rhodes after they had both enjoyed a few alcoholic beverages.

WWE have since capitalised on the catchphrase, releasing 'YEET' merchandise, but the t-shirt was blurred out during the December 4 edition of Monday Night Raw. WrestleVotes has since confirmed that WWE have been forced to stop using the catchphrase due to a trademark issue.

"As evident on RAW just now, I'm told WWE has found trademark issues with Jey Uso's 'Yeet.' The word & merchandising will no longer be associated with Uso going forward," WrestleVotes tweeted.

It has emerged that Kasey Huffman, a pro wrestler based in West Virginia, has held the trademark for 'YEET' within pro wrestling since 2021. This would ultimately prevent WWE from using the term unless they manage to strike a deal with Huffman for 'YEET.'

Uso will continue to use his 'Main Event' moniker moving forward.
